
Our story all began in the 1950’s with my Dad, Jack Howard’s, company, Mayon Foods… A food and restaurant distributor that was ultimately purchased by Sysco Foods in 1981.

Mayon Foods | 1952 - 1981
“Mayon Foods of California”, a restaurant and bar distributor, was my Dad’s company that he owned a part of for over 30 years. It was ultimately purchased by Sysco Foods in the early 1980’s.
Pictured to the left is my mother, Yvonne Howard, a.k.a. “mama bear”, who worked all trade shows for the company in it’s early days. She was also the company’s Bookkeeper and Accountant for many years. Most importantly, she was our greatest inspiration to work hard, provide value to our clients, and “Never Give Up.”
Resource Commercial Real Estate | 1996 - 2021
Established in 1996, Resource Commercial Real Estate, Inc. (RCRE) was a full-service commercial real estate company that specialized in strategic representation for commercial real estate users and investment property transactions. With over $1B in transactions covering 250 million square feet, RCRE's consultative approach and depth of industry knowledge fostered lasting client relationships. Its diverse team of experts took a client-centric approach, immersing themselves in each client's business, culture, and objectives to provide innovative, long-term solutions. RCRE was not confined to specific locations, leveraging advanced technologies and market-specific agents to analyze diverse real estate markets. The firm was merged into Lee & Associates in 2005, and fully divested it’s assets in 2021.

RedHotMayo | 2006 - 2014
In 2006, Dave Howard founded RedHotMayo, Inc. in response to Sysco Foods' need for real estate leads related to restaurant openings and closures in Southern California. Initially, the company used Excel spreadsheets, but they ultimately proved to be ineffective. In response, RedHotMayo was created, named for its ability to deliver crucial information promptly. The focus for RedHotMayo and it’s software was to get the right information to the right individual at the right time. The software streamlined sales practices, enabling faster information dissemination and improved customer relationships. By 2010, it served 10 Sysco OPCOs nationwide, thanks to the support of local Presidents who recognized its effectiveness. It served over 20 Sysco Opcos by 2014 along with Don Foods, Frito-Lay, and Performance Food Service.
Mayon Asset Management | 2022 - Present
Providing brokerage, mangement, training, and consulting services to companies such as:
AB InBEV: With over 500 beer brands as well as many non-alcoholic beverage brands, AB InBEV serves a worldwide market of consumers. Mayon provides consulting services for their new web 2 & 3 gaming platform.
Lee & Associates: Manage, train, and conduct brokerage opportunities for offices in Atlanta, Nashville, Charleston, and San Diego. This has been a client since 2005.
